I don’t know if you saw last week, my very first trash the cake session with Molly, but it was amazing (scroll down to see it). The only possible thing that went a little wrong was the fact that Michalina, her mother, over-prepared! She wanted to be sure that we had a couple choices for cakes, so she got two. We tried to let Molly’s cousin, Abram have the other, but he just wasn’t feelin’ it. Well, (since I like math so much) let’s put it all into an easy-to-understand equation. Extra cake + Famliy – Extra Baby (because he wasn’t hungry and is teething) + Photo Booth Set Up + Silly Adults = Great pics. Have a look-see at what happened!!!
Besides just the teething and the just ate dinner thing, Abram had just filled up on cake last week for his first bday and was probably still suffering from a minor belly ache!

Abram’s Parents, Alison and Travis were trying to help out. This is about the only time in life where your parents encourage you to over eat on sweets!!!

This was about the point where we realized he just didn’t want the cake.

You’ve got to pay attention when you’re on the Booth! The camera’s always ready!!! Very nice Travis!

And this is where the whole thing went South!

Yes, she is pushing from the back too!

And since the cake wasn’t completely destroyed, I got in on the action.

If you have any questions as to how hard we hit each others’ face, just check out the big globs flying behind me.

We have some more Best of ‘08 (Personal) coming up later this week. We’ll see you then. Have a wonderful day!!!

For those who don’t know, the Bowersocks (my entire family, not just Jen and me) LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Babies!!! It’s pretty obvious when you see the number of nieces and nephews I have. So, it’s no surprise that I LOVE taking baby portraits. And Aubrielle’s shoot was no different. She was absolutely perfect! What a beautiful baby girl. Her parents did an amazing job (is that weird to say, since is seems to imply that Alonzo and Denise built her with skilled craftsmanship?). Oh well! You may remember them from their maternity shoot. So no more waiting to see Aubrielle. Scroll down and have a look see!

She was a little slow to waking up,…

but check out the smiles once she did!

Don’t you just love all the little baby parts!

What a beautiful family!!!

If you remember from their last post, this is the blanket that Denise was working on. It’s all finished now!

We had to head outside with the amazing weather we’ve been having.

Aubrielle was making us all laugh… or was it Denise!

Thanks again Wise family for having me over. I really enjoyed meeting Aubrielle. You both did a “Good Job”!!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

How cute is Molly!!! This past weekend was Molly’s first birthday party, so Jen and I went up a night early to shoot her “Trash the Cake” sesssion! Check ‘em out.

I love how “innocent” she looks in these next two!!!

Once she figured out what it was and that we weren’t going to take it away, she was diving right in!!!

Molly’s so sweet! She’s even trying to share her own mushed-up, slobbery, b-day cake!

That’s enough for now.

Michalina – Thanks for having us shoot these. We obviously had a blast. We look forward to family photos later on this year!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!!

Yup! Earth Hour. If you haven’t heard about the event that originated in Sydney, Australia, I’m here to fill you in. Coming this Saturday at 8:30 will be the 2nd anniversary of Earth Hour. The idea is extremely simple. Just turn your lights out (all of them) for ONE HOUR. That’s it! From 8:30 to 9:30. You could get the famliy together and read a book, play a board game, or piece together a puzzle under candle light or with a flashlight. If it’s nice enough outside, maybe even have a camp fire or play light tag in the back yard. It’s a small idea that has become a huge world wide event. You have to watch the video on their website. It’s very inspiring! Please, please, please pass it around. Be a part of this amazing event. Have fun with it!

The ladies from Green Piece Indy are even holding an event on the circle for the hour leading up to the big shutdown. If you’re in town, it should be a great event to attend. Check them out and get on their mailing list for all sorts of green ideas!
I don’t know how many people know this, but my first job in Indianapolis was at The Children’s Museum. I doubt if any job can top working there. And even though I’ve moved on to pursue photography, I’ve never really let go. I still shoot a lot of their contracted photography work. So there was no way I could leave them out of “the best of ‘08″! Check ‘em out!

One of my favorite TCM employees, Charity!

I really don’t think he’s supposed to touch that!

TCM’s new birthday room… AWESOME!

The TCM’s fearless leader, Jeff.

No matter the event, the food is always amazing!!!

I don’t know that teachers should be taught to use this equipment!

Of course, a GREAT time to visit is during the holidays!

“What was it I was supposed to ask for?”

Oh, the slide!!!

Big changes coming soon! You have to see the construction. They’ve really made it into an exhibit itself.

Have a wonderful day!

We spent this past Friday evening volunteering for Noble’s big fundraiser, Evening in the Garden. For those who don’t know Noble helps children with developmental delays and adults with developmental disabilities to live meaningful lives. You can find out more by clicking on the link above. Well Jen has been volunteering with the organization for the past two years and I’ve been helping out with this event. This year I supplied the photographic coverage. And all of the images from the event are available to view through a link I’m putting at the end of this post. But here on the blog, I wanted to show some of the fun/personal ones that we took while at the event.
Raphael de la Rosa has also volunteered the past two years doing caricatures for the party! His booth is always a big hit!!! Here’s his big entrance. There’s some photos of him actually working in the full event.

??? I may need some help with this one.

Jen and my little sister Amanda.

I went a little classic with the hair!

Seriously Barry! Where’s YOUR wife?

Raphael and I don’t really pull off the hardcore look that well.

Mike and Jill!

Nice job on the button arrangement there Amanda.

Amanda gets a little grumpy when she’s up past her bed time. I think this shot was taken at 10:30, so that’s about 45 min. past.

A little classic senior photo action! I couldn’t resists when I saw that pineapple thing.

So if you want to see the actual photos from the event, just click here.
Thanks again for stopping by, we’ll see you again soon.
