And not just in size but in numbers too! Gaby has joined the Sosa crew to make it a family of 5. I’m sure you remember Alex and Christian from last year… you know, the two super adorable boys that were running everywhere and making my focus finger work overtime! Well now they have a younger sister too. And she is just as cute as they are.
First off the boys and I went outside. It had been awhile since we’d seen each other, so they wanted to show me all the NEW things that they could do like kick the soccer ball REALLY hard…

and their new jungle gym moves!

They love their “Guby!”

Outfit change. She was such a great baby all afternoon!

The whole fam!

Back in side for a drink and snack… and couple shots of Me!

While the boys were finishing their drinks we took Gaby for a couple more individuals.

Now it’s biking time.

My bike is made by the same company as Alex’s. Go Specialized Riders!!!

The bike riding became a crashing skills competition!

And just a couple more of the beautiful Gaby!!!

It was great playing around with you all. Thanks again for having me over!
And thank you viewers for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!!

I know that title’s pretty predictable. I probably should of come up with something better. Oh… whale!
Last week I got to participate in a “Whale Inflation.” Huh? That’s exactly what I said. But our cousin Catherine was putting on this monstrous project for Hudson’s (her son’s) school. She even brought along her own inflation team made up of her Butler students. This was without a doubt going to be a good time! So of course I tagged along and documented the fun.
Whale, here we go!

Pre-inflation.

Wow!!! I did not expect it to be that big!

The kids were lovin’ it!

Catherine’s on the right. It took a lot to orchestrate all of this.

When Catherine asked me to come along, I didn’t know I’d be photographing the latest winners of Indiana’s cutest kid contest!

That obviously includes Hudson! (pictured in yellow)

Probably the coolest part… going inside the whale!

All the children went back inside to prepare to listen to Catherine’s students teach them more about whales. Here’s a “team” shot.

As we were taking the photo, the wind picked up! It was like watching a train wreck… only while having a camera. So I just kept on clicking away!!!

They got the whale back under control and deflated it before any one got squished!

Make sure there’s no one left inside while you’re folding it up!?!

That sure compacts “whale.” (I’ve really gotta stop)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!!

This Senior stuff is great! The more time I spend with these young adults, the more I like it. We had a great time with Caleb this past weekend stomping around our old… stomping grounds? That’s right, we gave Caleb the insider’s tour of ISU while we shot his Senior Photos. It was the perfect place since Caleb will be attending ISU very soon. He’s a history buff with aspirations of expanding young minds and eventually making his way into politics. Caleb’s also a big time reader, so what better place to start then…

It was too beautiful of a day to stay inside!

A little parking garage action…

Then back to campus.

Mr. Caleb Spif-Master!

Jen and I spotted his license plate and had to get one in front of his car!

Besides ISU, Caleb also likes Notre Dame! I think their football team is just a little easier to root for!?!

We couldn’t end the shoot without playing in the alley for a little while.

And NO! We don’t advocate under age drinking (no matter how big of a boozer Jen was in college!
). Caleb wore the T because the name had personal meaning! Rohrbach is a family name!

Thanks again Kris and Caleb for hanging out with us. We had a great time running around campus.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!!

For those who don’t know, Jennifer and I love biking. And our love for all things pedalable came from a couple bike races held at our alma mater. The Spring bike race is on a tandem and fraternities and sororities pair up to ride in this coed race. The ATOs (my boys) were paired up with the Zetas and the XOs (Jen’s ladies) were paired up with the Pikes. So of course we were bumping heads a little that day!
A shot down pit road!

ATO’s coach/lead rider Bobby on the front and Zeta rider Jamie on the back. Jamie is a good friend from my Terre Haute YMCA days.

Jennifer’s reaction after the Pikes and XOs take the lead early in the race.

The ATOs reaction as we take the lead back!!! I love seeing that azure and gold flowing in the wind!

Jennifer’s ladies! The XOs.

The Mitchells (one of our favorite clients) were at the race cheering on Bobby and the rest of the ATO/ZTA team!

The checkered finish! Sorry for ya Jen.
The XOs and Pikes got second place. It’s nice to see both or our teams do so well!

Bobby holding up our flag and the signs the Mitchell kids made for him!

It’s an Indiana tradition!

Congratulations ATOs and ZTA’s on winning the 2009 Tandem race!!!

See you again soon! Until then, have a wonderful day!!!

I know… I should move on and stop reliving the past. But ‘08 was a tremendous year! Not only for KBP, but even in our personal lives. Our family grew, work/family took us to new places, and we seemed to do/celebrate more. What more could you ask for!?!
First off (and most importantly) our family grew a pair!… not like that. I mean two babies were born at the beginning of ‘08 – Abram and Molly!
Abram was born first -

We loves our nieces and nephews!

And then just a week later Molly was born!

It was the inaugural year of “Camp Kurt and Jen!!!” Man, did we have a good time.

Camp Kurt and Jen is all about the love! and next one takes place at the end of June!!!

We planted a garden for the first time at our house! It was so nice to just go out side and pick fresh veggies for dinner. It even drew some visitors. HOLY COW! Don’t worry though, this pepper plant was already destroyed by the wind… so I just let her eat away.

In case you were wondering about the size!

We got out more! Here we are at a Indiana’s Game.

We even made it on the Jumbo Tron! (I’m the one with the camera in front of my face and Jen’s the one smiling… REALLY BIG!)

It also happened to be the 4th of July. (first time photographing fireworks… that’s fun!)

We got more quality time with family!!! (This is was Travis’ idea… I promise)

Let’s see that from another angle!

We even got to visit some distant relatives in Texas!

We learned a lot about livin’ on a southern farm!

And we visited some relatives that were a little closer to home. (ISU homecoming parade in T.H.) GO SYCAMORES!

We even did more work just to see family! You know, just cutting out boards on the sawmill for some fencing. Isn’t this what all families do when they get together!?! Honestly, this is when us guys have the most fun together!

Me and Pops! And yes, I did have sawdust in my eyes.

This is how all lumberjacks do it!… Right!?! :) (we’re stupid!)

‘08 was also the year that we had our first out of country destination wedding! (Mexico!) And we were livin’ it up!

Looking straight down from our balcony.

We hope you enjoyed the ‘08 pictures. Lot’s to come in ‘09!!! Thanks for stopping by!

Have I told you all how much I love Senior Shoots!!! I’ve had an amazing time at the last few I’ve done and Seniors are moving up the list on my fun meter. Andrew’s was the latest. And it didn’t take him long to loosen up and just have fun.
We started at Speedway’s Football field. Becuase that’s Andrew’s one true love… football! (Sorry Holly!) And I’ll tell you a secret if you promise to not hate him for it… he likes the Patriots. I know, I know, but just give him a chance. Maybe one day he’ll come around.

The clouds were amazing that day!

We headed to the playground for something a little more fun!

And Holly (Andrew’s lady friend) met us there. Andrew wanted a couple of them together.

Let’s just say the sparks were flying!
(Really! We were just sitting around and I saw this cement truck coming by! Could it of worked out better?!?)

Andrew got all spiffy for a few and dawned a tie.

But that didn’t stop us from doing the fun shots! (and yes we got caught, but the truck’s owner didn’t mind! He did think it was a little crazy since the truck was dirty. But that’s just what we wanted for this shot!)

Don’t worry, this truck actually belongs to Andrew!

Thanks Andrew for keeping the shoot fun! Click here to see the rest of the images from your shoot.
