Oh my goodness. I’m in love with this shoot. These two were great to work with… and really fun too!!! I can’t say much more about the shoot… you just have to look at the pictures!

Shot through some random biker’s spokes… yeah, that just happened!

These two were too cute together!

We mix a little rural and urban into our engagement shoots, but not normally together!

Heidi and Brad – You two were great! Thanks again for having us shoot these. You made it really easy on us. We really hope you like the photos. And enjoy Hawaii!!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

It’s that time again!!! So here are the rules and guidelines for this Contest. We’re calling it the Vacation/Travel Photo Contest… and that’s what we want to see. Your best and most creative images from your recent travels. Weather it’s across your state or across the world. We want to see them and up again for the winner is a $50 Gift Certificate to Roberts or your favorite local camera shop. I think last month’s worked out really well, so Jen and I will choose our favorite 10 and then have three un-biased judges choose the winner.
This contest is open to anyone (as long as you have a camera and and have gotten out of the house lately!) The more creative the better!!! And here are the official rules for this contest…
1. You must be the one to press the shutter button. You can use the timer if need be, but YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE PHOTO YOURSELF.
2. It needs to be G rated. (So if your recent travels took you to Vegas, then leave the photos there)
3. You are limited to 2 entries total. NO MORE!
4. You may not use photoshop to alter the images. Small adjustments may be made for exposure and color correction, but no cloning or manipulation is allowed.
5. A short description explaining the photo is appreciated, but is not necessary.
6. You have to send the files to my personal email address by Wednesday (August 5th) before 11:59pm. That gives you a little under a week to dig up that perfect shot and send it my way. Jen and I will pick our favorite 10 entires and then have three un-biased judges decide the winners. (my email address – kurtisabowersock@aol.com)
7. Please resize the images to 12 in. (on the longest side) at 72 dpi. If you don’t have the software to change the size of your images or have no idea what that first line even means then disregard and send the pictures anyway. But you Pro Photographers know better!
8. The winner will receive a $50 gift certificate to Roberts (or your favorite local camera shop). So send your images RIGHT NOW!!! That’s one step closer to that new lens, memory card, software, camera bag, flash or digital frame that you’ve always wanted!
WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING ALL OF THE GREAT VACATION/TRAVEL IMAGES!!!
Here’s a few Jen’s shot from our recent travels.

And a few I’ve shot from our recent travels.

Please email me if you have any questions about the contest or have any trouble sending your files.
I believe we left off with our couple running down the aisle in complete joy. And so we’ll continue from there as they snuck downstairs for a minute ALONE… or so they though they were alone!

One of my favorite shots from Jen’s view.

It was a balloon send-off, but the groomsmen had their own idea. And from what I hear, this was a long time coming for Paul. (and yes, those are baby dolls and diapers!)

The Nova. This used to be Paul’s car. But he sold it to buy Stephanie’s ring. How stinkin sweet is that?!!! They borrowed it back for the wedding day.

Pipers supplied the wholesome goodness! Yeah for teacup rolls!!!

The ring shot! Steph and Paul really like their coffee and even had a coffee bar at the reception.

The dessert table!!! There was a little somethin’ for everyone!

The guys brought it at the reception…

and the ladies fired right back!

That’s some hardcore air guitar!

And the sparkler send off!!!

Stephanie and Paul – Thank you two so much for having us participate in your big day! We really enjoyed spending the time with you both, your families and friends. We wish you the best of everything for your future!!! And it shouldn’t be long before we’re doing baby photos… right!?!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

We are so lucky to have such great clients!!! And you ask, “what is it that makes our clients soooo GREAT???” Well, besides the couples themselves being super sweet-nice-fun people, their families and friends are too. We’ve found this to be exceptionally true for Paul and Stephanie’s Wedding! Everyone was awesome and made us feel so welcome through-out the day. That always makes it easier on us and gives us a chance to create the best photos we can. Which is the main reason why we’re having to split this post into two. That’s right, there were too many great pictures that we couldn’t do it all in one post. So the remaining shots we’ll show on here will be up tomorrow morning in the continuation of this post.
Enjoy the photos!!!
The super sweet-nice-fun Stephanie, getting her hair did!

Paul sent a flower with a sweet message in the morning!

A stop off at “MT Cup” after the salon!

The guys’ preparation was a little different from the ladies. (they had me cracking up all day!)

???????

Paul and his dad!

Wedding day jitters were getting to Steph a bit!

Jennifer set this one up!!!

Seeing each other for the first time that day.

Damn, they look good!!!

Ah, yah!

Paul’s father giving his new daughter a kiss on the cheek!

Rick, I know you’re going to love this one!

Seriously! This is the group we got to work with!!!

And on to the ceremony.

And they’re off!

We’ll continue this little adventure tomorrow with the concluding post!
Kurtis.
Looking at these photos makes me want to be back in Florida. Jen and I just got back from vacation with my side of the family. We went to Panama City Beach and expected it to be less packed than in our spring break days. But, we were surprised at how busy it really was. There was still plenty of beach and sun to go around.
We decided on our last day there to do a “Quick Family Shoot”. Here’s what we got.
My sister Amanda and her husband Barry.

My sister Michalina and her husband, Dale.

And their three girls, Ella…

Libby…

and Molly.

My brother Travis and his wife, Alison.

And their three children, Landon…

Cadence…

and Abram.

My brother Ralph and his wife, Tina.

And their four children, Telisha…

Bryce… (I swear I have better photos of his face, but this was my favorite… and it’s completely him)

Brandt…

and Catilin.

And my Mom!

Last but not least is the family friend, Tom. He’s been with the family long enough to have changed my diaper. Tom, here’s your new facebook pic!

And all 22 of us together. (Thanks random lady for taking this!)

I think you know the next two.

How lucky am I!!! I get to see this beautiful woman every day of my life!!!

And a couple of me trying to GQ it!

Same time, same place, next year???
post by Jen.
We had a wonderful time celebrating the marriage of John and Laura at their Conrad reception! They married several weeks earlier in Florida, and we were privileged to capture the after-party…and it was TRULY a party. The drinks — they flowed; the food — phenomenal; the music — stellar; and the dancing — it kept me laughing and smiling all night! This is simply one fun bunch, many of whom I’ve known (or who knew me) since I was born. I’ve shared in their parties for years, with John and I enjoying virgin upside-down margaritas many-a-Monroe weekend. It was wonderful to see old friends.
Check out the setup! Beautiful elements wove in a Floridian theme of coral colors, place cards set atop grass; starfish bottle stopper favors, and super fun centerpieces. Did I mention the menu was delightful too?!

Laura enjoying a pour of champagne.

Yummy martinis!

John got an assist with his dessert. He must have been in a trance and unable to feed himself because it was so good.

Chocolate Truffle Mousse Cake accompanied by a Brandy Snap Basket with Fresh Berries. This would explain the aforementioned photo.

The Conga Line began early!

Laura and her dad danced away.

These dancin’ shoes were on fire!

HELLO Flying Toasters!!!

Bill rocked as always!

Can you name this song??

If we can’t photograph a Nies wedding, I’d really love to just be a fly on the wall to enjoy their dance moves. They are awesome.

John joined the band on stage to sing EJ’s Benny and the Jets! I love that song.

See, I told you that was one heck of a party!
Thank you to John, Laura, friends and family. We loved it all. See all of the photos here!
